In this Grid Roundup:

  • PUC cancels two more projects from the Texas Energy Fund. Nearly half of the projects announced nearly eight months ago are canceled or withdrawn;

  • A new study completed by Dr. Joshua Rhodes shows lower reliability and higher costs from limiting renewables;

  • Senate Committee on Business & Commerce passes a third bill to limit energy production and raise electric bills: SB 715 passed committee on a 6-4 vote;

  • The full Senate passed Senate Bill 819 on a similar vote to SB 624 in 2023.
