ERCOT to tell PUC that the large load queue is now over 200 gigawatts
ERCOT’s Kristi Hobbs will make a presentation to the PUC this morning that shows 205 gigawatts of load in the interconnection queue. Only last year, there were 56 gigawatts. Over 70% of the queue is data centers and crypto mining – last year about half of the queue – is down to a nearly imperceptible sliver at 1.3%.
