ERCOT's notice of possible emergency conditions, PUC's newly proposed reliability standard, ERCOT market design updates, generation hubs, and an upcoming Texas Senate grid hearing
Included in this week’s Texas Grid Roundup:
ERCOT issued two notices of possible capacity shortfalls.
The PUC staff proposed, and the Commission approved, a Proposal for Publication (PFP) for a reliability standard.
Staff also filed a memo on the Performance Credit Mechanism (PCM) saying that a new reliability standard does not require the PCM.
ERCOT takes step toward central planning of generation, proposing eight “generation hubs” of 1,375 megawatts each.
The Senate released its agenda for the Business & Commerce Committee meeting next month and the House released its interim charges.
