I’ll speak at several events in the next couple months and I want to share them with you, hoping to see many of you there. I’ll record a live episodes of the Energy Capital Podcast at TribFest next week (September 6) with the Department of Energy Loan Program Office Director Jigar Shah. The Wall St. Journal dubbed him the $400 billion man.
Two weeks later, at the SPEER Industry and Policy Workshop on September 20, I’ll interview PUC Chair Thomas Gleeson for the pod.
I’ll also give a keynote at Texas Economic Development Council’s Annual Conference on October 23, and will moderate moderating a panel at the Intersolar and Energy Storage North America Texas Regional Conference on November 20. Please see below for details. I hope to see you at these great events!

SPEER Industry and Policy Workshop, Friday, September 20, at 8:45 at the Archer Hotel in Austin
I’ll host a live episode of the Energy Capital Podcast with PUC Chairman Thomas Gleeson. We’ll discuss grid reliability and affordability, energy efficiency, distributed energy resources and virtual power plants, transmission, and more. Texas Economic Development Council’s Annual Conference, Wednesday, October 23, at 10:30 at the Marriott Quorum in Dallas
I’ll give a keynote titled “Unlocking Texas' Economic Opportunities in the Clean Energy Transition.” In the speech, I’ll cover how Texas’s rapid growth of clean energy gives us the opportunity to improve grid reliability and attract investment and industry to the state — if Texas policymakers support these aims. The keynote will explore how to achieve these goals and look at the opportunities and risks for Texas economic growth in the clean energy transition.
