CenterPoint withdraws rate case & resiliency plan, will likely re-introduce both with higher rates; comments due today in "mobile" generator docket; batteries may be excluded from new reserve service
In this week’s Grid Roundup:
CenterPoint moved to withdraw its rate case, but will still look to increase rates this year;
CenterPoint also withdrew its resiliency plan but will likely refile with $500 million more early in 2025;
Comments are starting to come in for the very controversial “mobile” generator program;
ERCOT is forecasting near-record demand next week;
ERCOT’s Reliability and Operations Subcommittee (ROS) moved forward with a nodal protocol revision request that would excludes batteries from the newest ancillary service
